Southern Pecan French Toast

| INGREDIENTS
1 loaf French bread, sliced
6 eggs
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2c milk
1 1/2c half-n-half
1/2c butter, softened
1c brown sugar, packed
3 tbsp corn syrup
1c chopped pecans
Grease a 9x13" pan. Layer as many
pieces of bread as possible in one layer.
Combine eggs, spices, vanilla, milk &
half-n-half. Pour over bread slices. Cover
& refrigerate overnight.
Blend butter, brown sugar, corn syrup &
pecans together. Spread over bread slices.
Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 40 minutes
or until golden brown.
